Today i installed a new pump on the skimmer, it made a huge difference, i had to
open up
the gate valve all the way cuz it start it to overflow, after i fine tuned it
ran great.
the main reasoned for the upgrade was wattage, this pump has 40 less watts then
the iwaki
& it out performs it.

This is a quiet one 3000 pump, the mag 5 i had on there start it to
make a nasty noise
so i dint want to take a chance & i got the new pump, i had to
redo the spray bar because
it was 3/4 instead of 1/2 inch, over all it's a nice quiet pump with
little heat transfer.

If u don't have a flow meter another way to measure is to take a cooking glass
that measures ML &
get a watch timer put the glass underneath & see how many ML u get per minute,
u can keep doing this till u get to u'r desire ML
